Met het 24 uur per dag beschikbaar komen van
elektriciteit is in potentie de mogelijkheid aanwezig om
het LMHC 24/7 een volwaardig ziekenhuis te laten zijn.
Aangezien de opbrengsten van Nedoil en PowerNed
de komende jaren nog onvoldoende zullen zijn om alle
exploitatiekosten en verdere investeringen van het
LHMC te dekken, wordt een beroep op donoren gedaan
om de komende 4 - 5 jaar de begroting sluitend te
maken.
In 2012 zal het scholingsproject van LHF worden
voortgezet en zo mogelijk worden uitgebreid. Ook de
samenwerking met het e-Luma project zal worden
voortgezet.
With the availability of electric power 24 hours per
day, the LHMC has the potential to become a 24/7
fully fedged hospital, however the required number
of personnel is still lacking. As soon as possible and
funds permitting, the required local medical staff will
be contracted and subsequently trained by the tropical
doctor Erdi Huizenga and the medical fights to be
deployed.
During the coming 4-5 years the revenues from Nedoil
and PowerNed will still be insuffcient to cover all the
operational costs (and further investments) of the LHMC.
LHF appeals to donors for additional funding to be able
to come to a balanced budget.
In 2012 the schooling project will be continued, and funds
permitting, expanded. The co-operation with the e-Luma
project will also be continued.
